Bendigo Pottery

Bendigo Pottery

When I went to amazing Bendigo Pottery, I felt like a kid in a candy store, except instead of sweets, I was surrounded by gorgeous ceramics.

The best part? The friendly staff were more than happy to chat and answer any questions I had about the pottery-making process. I even got to watch a live demonstration of a potter creating a masterpiece right before my eyes. It was mesmerizing to watch the skilled hands of the potter work their magic on the spinning wheel.

Of course, I couldn’t leave without taking a piece of Bendigo Pottery home with me. I browsed through the shop and found the perfect mug to add to my collection. I could already picture myself filling it up from my thermos at the next stop Lake Weroona! It was tough to choose just one piece, though, with so many beautiful options to choose from. I also picked up some pottery tools so I could try my hand at making my own ceramics.

The history of Bendigo Pottery is just as fascinating as the pottery itself. Founded in 1858, it’s one of Australia’s oldest working potteries. It’s incredible to think that this place has been creating beautiful ceramics for over 160 years. The old kilns and pottery machinery are still on display, giving visitors a glimpse into the past.

The vintage vibe of Bendigo adds to the charm of the experience. The old brick buildings and rustic decor make you feel like you’re stepping back in time. The only downside was that the building could get a little chilly, so make sure to bring a jacket if you’re visiting in the cooler months.

Overall, Bendigo is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates beautiful ceramics and wants to learn more about the art of pottery-making. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a newbie to the craft, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here.

Kind regards,
